Christmas Events 2026

Applications are now open for traders wishing to take part in the Stratford-upon-Avon Christmas Lights Switch On 2026, one of the town’s most anticipated festive events of the year.

Organised in partnership with Stratford-upon-Avon BID and local stakeholders, the event transforms the historic town centre into a vibrant festive destination, attracting thousands of visitors for a full day of Christmas entertainment, shopping, food, drink and seasonal activities.

The town centre will once again sparkle with stunning illuminations from The Christmas Light Company, alongside live entertainment, family attractions and a packed programme of festive activity throughout the day and into the evening.

The market footprint for 2026 will feature trading pitches across:
• Bridge Street
• Wood Street
• Henley Street (Bridge Street side only, up to the corner of Meer Street)

Please note that Waterside will not form part of this year’s event footprint. Following review of the 2025 event layout, this decision has been taken to ensure the overall footprint remains appropriate for crowd management and public safety during peak attendance periods surrounding the lights switch-on.

Henley Street pitches will sit within a slightly lower pricing bracket than Bridge Street and Wood Street pitches and will occupy the section of Henley Street closest to Bridge Street, benefiting from strong visitor flow whilst supporting the overall event layout and operational management plan.

This event is particularly suited to:
• Artisan food and drink traders
• Christmas gifting
• Crafts and handmade goods
• Festive retail products
• Seasonal street food and sweet treats

With visitor numbers traditionally increasing significantly throughout the afternoon and into the evening, particularly around the 5pm lights switch-on, traders can expect a busy festive atmosphere in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon.

Early application is strongly advised, as pitch availability is expected to be limited.

We are delighted to announce that applications are now open for the Cardiff Victorian Christmas Market 2026.

Step back in time and be part of one of the UK's most magical festive events, where the streets of Cardiff will be transformed into a traditional Victorian Christmas experience. Featuring beautifully decorated stalls, Victorian-themed entertainment, roaming performers, live music and thousands of festive visitors, this is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your products in the heart of Wales' capital city.

As part of the authentic Victorian atmosphere, all traders are required to dress in Victorian costume throughout trading hours. This is a key element of the event and helps create the unique experience visitors have come to expect.

To recognise those who go the extra mile, we'll also be awarding prizes for our Best Dressed Victorian Stall, with the chance to win up to a 100% refund of your pitch fee!

We are delighted to announce that trader applications are now open for the Sutton Coldfield Christmas Market 2026, taking place from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th December 2026 in the heart of Sutton Coldfield Town Centre.

Following the success of previous events, the Christmas Market will once again bring together a fantastic mix of artisan traders, festive gifts, street food, seasonal treats and independent businesses, creating a vibrant festive shopping experience for visitors from across the region.
